Mia is an occupational therapist specializing in pediatrics. With experience in both clinical and school-based settings, she has helped children with a wide range of diagnoses, including autism, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, and other developmental delays.
Mia is an Integrated Listening Systems (iLs) Home Program Coach and has seen first- hand the positive outcomes resulting from using iLs both in clinic and on a home settings. Mia has also received training and certifications in Handwriting Without Tears as a Level 1 instructor and in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol.
Mia currently works at Kids Kount Therapy Services in Alabama, serving children through young adults, ages birth – 21, with sensory processing disorders, neurological deficits, learning differences, dyslexia, and autism.
Mia has a love for working with children and collaborating with families to provide the best possible services available in a fun, therapeutic environment. She also enjoys teaching dance to children with special needs in her ‘spare’ time.
