Provider Spotlight: Utilizing a Sensory Room for the SSP in an Outpatient Mental Health Setting

This presentation will cover all aspects of how to use a sensory room inside an outpatient mental health setting to facilitate the Safe and Sound Protocol. You will learn how trauma healing in therapy is enhanced by the use of a sensory room. More specifically, it will explore how SSP providers can integrate sensory strategies into their work. It will cover examples of which client features or presentations can best benefit from this approach, along with a short case study. And finally, it will discuss assessments that can be used to support the work.
