Advanced Practitioner Training I: Sunday, July 17 & Monday, July 18, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
(Course Prerequisite: Practitioner Training)

The Advanced Level I training will cover the Pro Amplifier and its increased bone conduction and R/L lateralization, the Interactive Language Program, iLs program structure and how to combine and customize the Focus Programs. You will learn to create customized programs specifically aimed at addressing your clients’ challenging needs. You will also learn to pace the speed of the program based on your client, adjust programs when regression/reorganization occur and accommodate for scheduling difficulties. Advanced Practitioner Training II: Tuesday, July 19 & Wednesday, July 20, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
(Course Prerequisite: Advanced Practitioner Training I)

The Advanced Level II training will cover the Pro music library from which you will create your own programs. These individualized programs are used in supervised settings to jumpstart a home program, accelerate a program, during intensives and with more complex cases. Register for the Advanced Practitioner Training II.

Practitioner Training: Wednesday, July 20, 8:30 am-5:30 pm

The Practitioner Training prepares professionals with theoretical and hands-on training in iLs methodology and equipment.  The course focuses on integrating iLs with your goals and practice (clinical or educational), as well as customizing the iLs Focus Series for unique client needs. Register for the Practitioner Training.


Hotel and Conference Locations

The Conference sessions as well as the reception will be held at the historic Warwick Hotel. The Warwick hotel features balconies off every room, and is perfectly situated in the middle of the exciting Uptown Neighborhood with many restaurant, shopping and outdoor space options. Explore neighboring Downtown, Cherry Creek, RINO and LODO areas.

A limited number of discounted rooms will be available until May 29 at the discounted rate for those attending the conference. Discounted rooms are available Wednesday, July 20 – Saturday, July 23, for those who wish to enjoy all Denver has to offer. Deluxe Doubles ($209) and King ($199) rooms are available.

We highly recommend conference attendees stay at the Warwick to take advantage of accessibility, events and ride shares. The summer in Denver is a very busy time, please be sure to reserve your room well in advance!

Event Locations

Pre-conference trainings will be held at iLs Corporate Offices. Ride-sharing to and from the Warwick will be available, and further details and requests will be coordinated though the Conference Forum. If you have registered for the STAR Institute Tour, please arrange to arrive at the STAR Center before 5:45pm.

The STAR Center and SPD Foundation tour will be Wednesday, July 20. Please arrange travel to arrive at the STAR Center before 5:45pm. Ride-sharing to and from the Warwick will be available, and further details and requests will be coordinated though the Conference Forum.

For those in pre-conference trainings, the STAR Center and SPD Foundation is a quick 15 minute drive.

Call for Posters - Extended

Submission deadline has been extended to June 10, 2016.

We are pleased to invite you to submit abstracts for posters to be presented at the 2016 iLs Conference. Plan now to have your poster included.

To enrich the attendee experience and to contribute your experiences and innovations, we offer poster sessions to share the latest information from current research, case studies and clinical findings. Abstracts may be specific case studies or unique applications of iLs.


The extended deadline for electronic submission is 5:00p MST, Friday, June 10, 2016 to [email protected]. Subject line: iLs Conference Poster Submission. All authors will be notified via email on or by June 17, 2016.

Abstract Guidelines

  1. Presenting author(s) or presenter(s) of accepted abstracts must register at the current registration rate to attend the 2016 iLs Conference. Submission of an abstract does not automatically register you for the conference.
  2. Abstracts may be of original research or encore (repeat) presentations of abstracts. That is, iLs will accept abstracts that have already been presented at other conferences or through other publications.
  3. Abstracts should be 900 words or less, with maximums as defined below. (Titles, author names, and affiliations are not included in that word count)
    • Purpose: 250 words
    • Methods: 250 words
    • Results: 300 words
    • Conclusions: 100 words
  4. List affiliations for all authors, such as clinics, universities and other institutions
  5. List names of all authors, in the order in which you wish them appear in printed text. One author listed must attend the iLs Conference 2016 to present.
  6. You may include Acknowledgements. Please also list any Conflicts of Interest. If none, state “The author(s) declare that he/she has no conflict of interest.”
  7. Do not use tables, charts, or graphs in your abstract submission (they can be included in the actual poster)
  8. Please notify us if you would like to use a multimedia display in leu of a printed poster. Limited multimedia spaces are available
  9. There is no limit to the number of abstracts one author may submit for consideration
  10. The first author is responsible for communicating all of these policies to all involved parties


If your abstract is accepted, you will be notified on or by June 10, and the abstract will be posted online by July 1. Only accepted abstracts will be posted online. Posters may be published online after the conference.

Poster and Presentation Guidelines

  1. After acceptance, format your abstract into a poster which may include graphs, tables, and charts
  2. Maximum poster size is 42″ high x 90″ wide
  3. Authors/presenters should bring their posters with them to the conference. Please do not send posters to the iLs offices or in care of iLs
  4. Detailed instructions will accompany acceptance notices
  5. While first authors typically attend the conference in person, iLs allows other listed authors to attend in his/her place
  6. Interactive content/features are allowed, if you would like to present via looped PPT or other multimedia device, please contact iLs for approval first.

Poster Setup

Authors may set up Wednesday, July 20, between 6:00 – 7:00pm or Thursday, July 21, 7:00- 8:00am. iLs will provide a poster board, pushpins, and poster number. If you would like to provide reprints of your posters (ie, handouts) you may leave them under your assigned poster board. Posters will be available for public viewing throughout the conference and during the reception July 21, from 5:30 – 7:30pm.

Poster Discussion and Reception

We are looking forward to sharing your work! All authors and/or presenters should be available at their posters for the Poster Discussion and Reception, which will be held on Thursday, July 21, from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Refreshments will be served.
