Jillian Hosey is a Registered Social Worker and Trauma Therapist in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Jillian works in private practice with children, youth, adults, and families who have experienced trauma and are experiencing symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress, Complex Post-Traumatic Stress, and Dissociative Disorders as a result of attachment and developmental trauma, medical or birth trauma, and/or different forms of abuse and neglect. She is an Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant. In addition to extensive and advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Jillian values a mind-body approach to healing and incorporates other therapeutic modalities to meet clients where they are at in their healing journey’s, including Ego State Therapy and Structural Dissociation Theory and Treatment, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and other Attachment-based Therapies, Play Therapy and Sand Tray, and Mindfulness.
Jillian is a founding partner of the Healing Therapist Alliance (HTA) in Toronto, a collective of holistic, integrative Psychotherapists, Wellness Therapists, and Addictions Counselors in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that values a collaborative, team-based approach to healing the whole person and is grounded in neuroscience and trauma-specific, evidence informed practices. Jillian Hosey is additionally a Regional Coordinator, Facilitator, and Trainer in Training at the AGATE Institute (Ana Gomez Attachment and Trauma Education).
