Get the Recording: The Relationship Between Regulation, Relationship and Resilience

The live webinar takes place on July 29 @ 11 a.m. ET. Fill out the form below and we’ll send you a recording after the event!

Unyte Health welcomes Dr. Stephen Porges, originator of Polyvagal Theory, Dr. Peter Levine, developer of Somatic Experiencing® and Kim Barthel, OTR/L to this upcoming webinar in our Clinical Conversations series: The Relationship Between Regulation, Relationship and Resilience.

How are regulation, relationship and resilience interconnected? How are they different? How do they show up in the nervous system and how can the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) increase our capacity for regulation, relationship and resilience all at once? Join us as we explore these questions and examine each of these concepts individually, tri-directionally and within a therapeutic setting.

Regulation. The nervous system plays a large role in regulation. This session will explore paths towards improved regulation and the internal and external factors that can contribute to nervous system regulation. We’ll discuss the concept of “body memories” and how holding those memories can impact the autonomic nervous system.

Relationship. How do our relationships contribute to regulation and resilience? What is attunement and why is it required for relationships? How can the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) encourage safe and connected relationships?

Resilience. How can we pursue intentional resilience building? Is there a difference between regulation and resilience and if so, what is it?

Our experts will dive deeply into these concepts individually and within the context of one another, speaking from their extensive experience and knowledge of the nervous system, complex behavior and trauma.
