This session featured Dr. Liz Charles, creator of the Sensitive Approach course —a framework for delivering the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) that centers clients at its core.
While the Sensitive Approach can be applied to many different client presentations, this session focsued on clients presenting with chronic illness and complex trauma, breaking down Dr. Liz Charles’ application to provide you with practical takeaways when delivering the SSP to “sensitive” clients. We defined what sensitive means within this framework, relating it to the nervous system, self care and tools for psychoeducation.
Through case studies, we brought the approach to life, providing you with regulating activities and next steps for supportive implementation.
