Unyte Mentorship Program:
Nurturing Provider Excellence

Increase your confidence and effectiveness in program delivery through coaching and experiential learning.

Choose from two mentorship types:

Experiential

Experiential includes the Mentor delivering a program to the mentee(s) in a therapeutic setting. The intention of the Experiential is co-created by the Mentor and Mentee.

Advanced Coaching

Advanced Coaching focuses on deepening comprehension of relevant material and can include case consultations, as well as guidance and discussion on specific clinical factors, situations and experiences.

What to Consider When Selecting a Unyte Mentor

  • Your Objective: What type of mentorship will meet your goals and needs?
  • Your Readiness: Where are you on your journey? Some mentors offer mentorship prior to getting started with training, while others offer mentorship to certified providers.
  • Your Practice: What populations, backgrounds and other modalities do you prefer your mentor to specialize in?
  • Your Finances: What budget do you have allotted for mentorship?
  • Mentorship Format: What format do you prefer? Unyte Mentors may offer mentorship in either individual and/or group format. Individual mentorship consists of a mentor meeting with one mentee in a one-on-one capacity. Group mentorship consists of more than two mentees. The group can be small or large depending on the objectives and intentions, and it can feature a single mentor or multiple.

Amy Bjorkman, PhD
She/Her/Hers

Mentorship For: SSP
Experiential Mentorship Offered: Individual
Coaching Mentorship Offered: Individual

I am a seasoned Licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in private practice in Scottsdale, AZ. Through my work as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I work with clients from a somatic perspective that focuses on how the body holds trauma and the concomitant dysregulation of the nervous system that directly impacts a person’s sense of safety and ability to self soothe. In my work, I support clients who struggle with trauma, eating disorders, overwhelming anxiety, and depression.  For the last four years, I’ve been utilizing the Safe and Sound Protocol to enhance my somatic practice in supporting the regulation of my clients’ nervous systems.  Using the SEGAN™ model as a framework allows me to further enhance trauma healing as clients participate in the SSP.

I am also the founder of the Mind Body Healing Collective; a group practice of multi-disciplinary practitioners that collaboratively support whole-body healing for those impacted by trauma.

My ideal mentee is someone who has received the SSP training and is interested in facilitating the protocol in their adult therapy client population. I am particularly skilled in implementing the SSP through the SE lens and would welcome the opportunity to support fellow SEPs who are interested in using the SSP in their SE practice.

Coaching Mentorship Offered: Individual, Group

Laura Moorehead CST-D, SEP has been offering programs through Unyte since 2019 and has led 100’s of people through their excellent programs. Due to her extensive background in Somatic Experiencing and Somatic EMDR she is able to bring a particular attunement and understanding to her work with clients. She specializes in working with children with learning challenges as well as adults who are looking for a heart centered, in depth approach to healing trauma.

Laura believes that one of the most important aspects of being an SSP provider is the capacity to attune to each client who arrives and what their particular nervous system and heart needs may be. Therefore she brings much focus to these skills during mentorship. Each client is unique and what has worked for one person may not work for another, thus she is intent on finding individualized approaches for your clients.

Tracking your clients nervous system response is just one aspect of SSP delivery. Mentorship can also support in setting fees, establishing communication systems, integrating the SSP into your current work, marketing and more.
