Unyte Programs for Occupational Therapists

Integrate the Visual, Balance and Auditory Systems

iLs strives to maximize efficiency and accuracy of the auditory channel by providing carefully calibrated auditory stimulation. The goal is to activate the neuronal connections in different areas of the brain and ultimately train the ear and the brain to better analyze and process sensory information.

  • Thank you Unyte. My daughter was just re-tested post Focus System with auditory processing skills and has progressed all around; however, specifically in phonological skills (sounding out words and blending sounds into words) she has progressed from the 6% for her age (significantly below normal) to 97% for her age (well above normal). She was crying very night last year we had to read and had difficulty with sounding out c a t. Now she is excelled in reading, reading at the top of her class, and best of all she likes to read. She is 5 1/2 and READING! Thank you so much to Unyte and a great speech therapist!

  • At STAR Center our therapists use the Focus System for a few key reasons: it can be customized to each individual’s needs, the bone conduction delivery is a wonderful vestibular supplement, and the quality of the music is remarkable... We have seen tremendous developmental growth spurts using this program in combination with OT. The Focus System combined with OT seems to accelerate or “jump start” many of the children’s developmental changes. It also can have a calming effect on some children which makes it easier for our therapists to work with the child. In general, we see accelerated gains by adding the Focus System to OT. We use it with most of our children in clinic and we often send clients home with a Focus System for continuation of therapy once their intensive short-term program is complete.

  • I can unequivocally say that the Focus System stands far above the rest in terms of measurable, functional gains with a wide variety of clients. Not only have we seen consistent improvements in listening and specific auditory processing skills, we have also witnessed changes in motor components such as balance and coordination, improved overall organization and regulatory skills as well as gains in academics such as decoding and reading comprehension.

  • The Focus System has been an excellent addition to our practice. We feel it is one of the most powerful tools for treating sensory and auditory processing disorders. The changes we see in the children we work with continue to amaze us!

  • As a pediatric occupational therapist who has been practicing for over 25 years, I am continually amazed at the effectiveness of the Focus System equipment with children on the autistic spectrum, who have sensory integration disorders, language based and non-verbal learning disabilities as well as other developmental delays. This equipment facilitates growth and development in the areas of motor skills, language/communication and social skills at a greater rate than any modality I have used. It is also a pleasure being associated with the Center for Inner Change, Unyte’s “sister company”, and the Minsons, who offer a wealth of knowledge and experience with care and integrity. I would recommend the Focus System training and equipment to any practitioner who is interested in developing their practice with this exciting, state-of-the-art technology.
