With over two decades of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families, Taylor Hayden brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a Clinical Solutions Mentor. He is currently licensed to counsel in Virginia, North Carolina, and Delaware and has a diverse background that includes clinical private practice, work at the prestigious Amen Clinics, and even experience in IT, federal grant review, and behavioral studies with primates.
Education & Training: Taylor holds a Psychology degree from Lee University and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he was a member of the Psi-Chi National Honors Society in Psychology. His extensive training includes certifications as a Safe and Sound Protocol Facilitator and as a Brain Health Professional through Amen Clinics. Taylor is also a Certified Prepare Enrich Trainer.
Specializations: Taylor specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, marriages, and families. His therapeutic approach is integrative, blending a variety of methodologies which include: Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and elements of EMDR and Brainspotting.
Personal Interests: Outside of his clinical work, Taylor enjoys fly fishing, basketball, hiking, playing guitar, reading fiction, and spending time with his family.
