A tool to help those on the autism spectrum become better at processing sensory information

While there are different therapy approaches available for ASD, including ABA, Floortime, and DRI, iLs can be used at home on its own or in conjunction with a range of therapies to address the symptoms of those on the autism spectrum.Child with ASD

Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD, is a lifelong developmental condition that has various degrees of characterizations – hence the term spectrum – including difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication, and repetitive behaviors.

According to statistics from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1 in 68 American children is diagnosed on the autism spectrum. ASD is also 4 to 5 times more common among boys than in girls, as an estimated 1 out of 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States.

Using iLs Therapy at Home for ASD

Having an autistic child without access to the adequate therapies can become a real difficulty for the parents and can severely impact the child’s ability to interact with the world. But with the proper help, and especially incorporating the Integrated Listening Systems’ complementary approach, the ability of the individual to process the world around him/her improves, as well as the ability to regulate emotions, manage social situations, and communicate effectively.

iLs Home Program

The iLs Home Program supports your use of iLs at home, whether you are doing the program on your own or supplementing a clinical program. The program is fun and challenging at the same time, and can be customized to meet any skill level. We provide the equipment through a rental plan, as well as a personal coach who will monitor the program’s development via phone and email.

While iLs is not complicated to implement at home, it does require commitment, planning, and some guidance. iLs Programs are typically 30-60 minutes in length, 3-5 times per week over a 2-6 month period. To ensure you have a successful experience, instruction and supervision are included in the price of the program.
