Unyte’s Organizational Solutions Team is proud to partner with Witherslack Group, supporting integration and delivery of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) within their multidisciplinary team of 25 providers. In on-demand Provider Spotlight webinar, Unyte welcomes four special guests from Witherslack: Clinical Director Billy Smallwood, Regional Clinical Director Waveney Patel and Senior Therapists and SSP Providers, Karen Tootill and Hayley Crawford.

Witherslack Group is the U.K.’s leading education provider for children and young people with special educational needs. Their mission is to deliver specialized education and support for those with social, emotional, mental health and communication needs. Students present with a range of presentations including autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD and complex learning needs.

Watch this session to learn how the SSP has supported this mission of specialized support and learning through foundational safety, increasing capacity and receptiveness towards relationships, connection and readiness for learning. We discussed how the SSP was integrated into the Witherslack Group’s therapeutic model and why psychological safety plays such a foundational role in young people.

We also explored questions like:

  • How can a multidisciplinary team in a specialized school setting use an intervention like the SSP?
  • How can Unyte’s Organizational Solutions Team support multi-provider organizations and what can that support look like?
  • How has the SSP positively impacted the children and young people at the Witherslack Group?
