Unyte Health was thrilled to welcome Shelly Melroe M.S., M.A., LMFT, to this Provider Spotlight webinar. Hosted by Rebecca Knowles, Director of Research and Education at Unyte Health, this webinar explored the elements and considerations of human psychophysiology that can enhance the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) experience as you envision building it into your practice. Enhancement elements we explored include increasing interconnections between thoughts, emotions and sensations, felt sense and autonomic state.

We also identified dynamics within SSP delivery that may be limiting outcomes for your clients such as over regulating physiology, limiting emotional processing or directing movement that is contrary to the body’s natural impulse. We examined the contribution of inner dynamics such as beliefs and relational adaptations that mirror our outward experience of work and life, a key underpinning of stress. This session will be beneficial for mental health professionals working across a multitude of modalities such as EMDR, SE, CBT, IFS and beyond.

Shelly is the founder of the Institute for Systemic Growth, LLC which provides courses, coaching, and community for professionals and executives. In her writing, speaking, and approach to therapy and coaching, Shelly emphasizes harmonized growth in a world with increased uncertainty and unknowns.

Tune in to this on-demand webinar where we discuss the benefits of bringing a level of curiosity to the SSP experience and explore the multiple dynamic levels of psychophysiology.
