Advancements in Music-Based Interventions: Evidence and Applications

On-demand webinar
Featuring expert speakers:
Dr. Jacek Kolacz Research Assistant Professor, PhD
Rebecca Knowles, OTD, OTR/L, RYT

This webinar featured two experts in music-based research: Dr. Jacek Kolacz, Research Assistant Professor, Ph.D., and Rebecca Knowles, OTD, OTR/L, RYT. Advancements in Music-Based Interventions: Evidence and Applications dives into the latest research on PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma and psychosocial challenges, with a focus on expanding your trauma-informed practice toolkit with interventions such as the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP).

Dr. Jacek Kolacz is the Principal Investigator in the groundbreaking study at The Ohio State University on SSP in PTSD treatment, which recently received $3.8 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Defense. He shared study results, ongoing trials and next steps, exploring the dynamic relationship between clinical practice and research.

Rebecca Knowles discussed new updates on the real-world effectiveness of SSP in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and beyond.

We also answered questions about SSP titration, who the program can benefit and why it can be such a powerful, integrative tool.
